Philip Fried '66

Alumnus Philip Fried '66 just published his sixth book of poetry, Interrogating Water (Salmon Poetry, Ireland, 2014). Publishers Weekly called his last book, Early/Late: New and Selected Poems (Salmon, 2011), "skillful and memorable" and British poet Tim Liardet said it was "deeply subversive." 

Katie Herzfeld Singer '82

Alumna Katie (Herzfeld) Singer ’82 recently released her book: An Electronic Silent Spring. The book is published by Rudolph Steiner Books and describes the health and environmental effects of exposure to electromagnetic radiation from wireless technologies. It also describes the legal situation and solutions for individuals and the public.

Alumnus Offie C. Wortham ’62 writes a column for Vermont Views magazine called “Open Mind.”

Janet Goldner '74

Alumna and artist Janet Goldner ’74 has recent jewelry & photography work included in Multiple Exposures at The Museum of Arts & Design in New York City, May 13 through September 14, 2014.

David Goldsmith '72

Alumnus David F. Goldsmith ’72 was recently awarded a Fulbright fellowship to the University of Manitoba (Canada) for the fall 2014 term.  While there he will be a visiting professor in the Community Health Sciences Department of the Faculty of Medicine.  Specifically, he will collaborate with the Manitoba First Nations – Centre for Aboriginal Health Research.

David Goodman '69

Alumnus David Goodman ’69 was interviewed by Tavis Smiley on PBS this week on the topic of Freedom Summer 1964. Goodman is president of The Andrew Goodman Foundation, named in honor of his older brother Andrew, who, along with James Chaney and Michael Schwerner, was murdered during Freedom Summer 1964.
