The Algo D. Henderson Society

The Algo D. Henderson Society is named for Dr. Algo D. Henderson who, when named President of Antioch College in 1936 at the age of only 39, became one of the youngest college presidents in the country. He later became one of the principal planners of the State University of New York system.
The Horace Mann Society

The Horace Mann Society is named for Horace Mann, the first president of Antioch College and well-known political figure of his time. Following his advocacy for universal public education as a member of Massachusetts State Senate, he was the first ever secretary to the first ever board of education, and in that capacity wrote 12 annual reports that form the basis for American public schools both North and South.
The Rebecca Pennell Society
$5,000 - $9,999
The Rebecca Pennell Society is named for Rebecca Mann Pennell, the first woman to be appointed full faculty member at an American college. She was one of the ten founding professors of Antioch College.
The Arthur Morgan Society
$10,000 - $25,000
The Arthur Morgan Society is named for Arthur Ernest Morgan, President of Antioch College from 1920-1936. In his time as President, he worked to put Antioch on more stable financial ground, acquired the Glen, and ultimately brought co-op to Antioch based on his strong belief that we best learn by doing.
The Towers Society
The Towers Society is named for the iconic towers of Antioch Hall. The towers of Main were completed in 1853. Main Building symbolized both the high ideals that went into the establishment of Antioch and the hopes for the future of YS as a cultural center.
